It is inevitable that with me in front of your faces snapping like 500 pictures/family that some of them are gonna turn out....well, bad. Here are awards for the best of the worst:
Highest number of bad pictures goes to the Wes Staub family...I had a ton of them and one single decent one which turned out blurry. (speaking of...a lot of my pictures just didn't turn out clear. I am investigating why but this has been happening to me a lot lately. For now I'll blame it on the equipment but there is also a very good chance it could be me)

Best funny faces go to Annabelle and Benny.

Most closely attached to our ancestors goes to Ryan.

Most unflattering picture goes to M&D.

Most uncooperative children goes to the Spencer Burk family.

But overall strange faces goes to the Ryan Staub family for exhibit A:

and (my favorite) exhibit B:

There you have them. Now I have lowered your expectations so much I can send the CDs and you won't be disappointed to have no good ones on there.
Hopefully I'll get those out to you by the end of this week. That's my goal. And Amber I will send your family photos on your CD.

Shout-Out, Dawg

I didn't want to dethr(iz)one darling little Annabelle but it is time for a new post on here. But I wanted to give a sweet shout-out to M&D for the arrangement and pay-al (?) of our first official Staub Family Reunion. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOO!!!!! (picture Justin doing "girls going "weeooo!!")
It's gonna be wild and crazy and so much fun and I'm super excited about it already and still have 3 months to go.
SO ANYWAY, here's my idea. I was reading on a friend's blog about how they and some friends are doing a "Biggest Loser" competition and thought that would be a fun thing for our family to do. We would do it as couples (no starving our children, please) and it would be as a percentage of our body weight (because me losing 5 pounds is not the same as Spencer losing 5 pounds). So the total percentage body weight lost between the couple. (I think. I haven't really thought into this too much because I want to see if it's a go)
SO, what do you think? The only things I could say that would make it difficult are 1) pretty much the women are the only trustworthy ones and wouldn't cheat (except maybe Kate :) and 2) all scales weigh differently. But we could each pitch in $25 into the pot. Winner takes $100.
Anyone for takers or is this just lame-o and not worth it??

Kate "tagged" me, so here goes - though I may not put 8 things in each category:)

8 things I not only like but love - Samantha, Channing, Logan, Carter, Chloe, Benny, Annabelle, and Nolan - and 8 more things - Justin and Velvet, Ryan and Amber, Wes and Kate, Hayley and Spencer.

8 foods I really like - See's chocolates, filet minon, lobster, shrimp cocktail, my dad's turkey dressing, popcorn at the movies, mashed pot. with gravy (I am an Anderson, after all) and any of my aunt Agda's homemade pies (which we have all missed).

8 words or phrases I say a lot - "Don't tell your dad", "I love you", "I'm a little dingy", "I ache", "Love" (pet name for Vern), "quit picking at your fingers" (to Vern), "I wish I had a day to just sit down and read", "bye hon".

8 things to do before I die - read Ryan's novel if he ever completes it, go on a Mediterranean cruise, take all my kids on an adult trip, get all my children and grandchildren in one place at the same time, attend the temple again with all my children, complete all my unfinished projects, loose 25 lbs. more, see grandchildren married in the temple.

8 places to visit - the rest of Europe, Australia, Grand Canyon, Nauvoo, start golfing again so visiting golf courses, Vern's aging aunt Mildred, New York's Ground Zero, Scotland.

8 things I have learned from the past - Listen to the prophet, don't sweat the small stuff, stop and smell the roses, really really pick your battles with your children, be a parent first (don't just try to be their friend because that will come), there are times to be nice and times to truly stick up for you and yours, money doesn't make you happier, you don't need a lot of "stuff", and as a bonus here are a couple more - pay lots of attention to your husband/wife and cherish them, serving others truly brings you happiness, you won't please everyone no matter how hard you try and that's okay........................................... the list could go on and on.

8 wants or needs - I want to make a difference in this world and leave my mark, I want to see all of my children and grandchildren live the gospel, I want to be able to do hard things when I am called upon to do them, I want to serve, I want my husband to think I am great, I want to challenge my brain, I want my children to remember all the fun and good times (and not just the silly stories they always tell), I want my family to know that being their wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother is the most important thing to me.

Love, MOM

Alpine Loop

We took a beautiful drive after Conference yesterday through the Alpine loop.  It's activities like this that make me never want to leave Utah.  Samantha is really starting to enjoy the outdoors and Annabelle is always happy when she is strapped to her dad.  Annabelle is already 1 years old this Saturday!
